6 Week Throwing Course

from £270.00
sold out

Overview

In a six week block of classes you will gain a good understanding of the processes involved in making your own functional pottery. Starting with cylinders and bowls on the wheel, trimming the bottoms of your pots, pulling handles, all the way through to glazing.

For more intermediate learners we will hone in your skills and practice shaping, lidded jars and scaling up, etc.

I have four wheels and therefore can accommodate four people for lessons in my studio, this means my classes are closer to private classes and you will receive more of my attention. I teach with a deep care in helping you improve your skills and explore your creativity in a fun and calm environment. It will be amazing to have you on board!

What to bring

Tools and equipment will all be provided for you, if you have your own tools that you would like to bring then you're welcome to do so. Please bring with you an apron and small towel to each class. There will be some spares on hand in case you forget.

Materials

In order to sustain materials and firings being included in the cost of the term, an average of 6-8 pots per person is estimated to be kept and fired (6 pots for 2 hour classes and 8 pots for 2.5 hour classes). Beyond this number it is asked that students pay towards the materials at a cost of 80p per 100g of fired pottery.

Cost

6 week block for 2.5 hour classes is £336.

6 week block for 2 hour classes is £270.

Missed Classes

If for whatever reason you are unable to attend a given week, it may be possible to join another class to make up for the missed session.
